Buzam A. Calessa, more commonly known as "BC", is second-in-command of the Nirvana. She is austere and all-business, and looks after the general welfare of the crew. BC, a skilled tactician, gives orders firmly and decisively. She is always seen on the bridge to access data and review the crew's performance.
During the early episodes, BC is seen taking a small data disc from the bridge's database discreetly until she is interrupted by Magno. Her suspicious actions are overlooked and are deemed irrelevant until the Second Stage, where it is revealed that she is actually Tenmei Uragasumi, commander of the Taraak Intelligence and a male spy from Taraak who underwent a complete sex change and assumes a woman voice through the green, jewel-like device on her necklace.
However, because of the experiences she had with the Nirvana crew members and the bond she created with Magno, she remained loyal to the Nirvana crew members. In the end Magno forgives her and allows her to remain second-in-command of the Nirvana, under the condition that she remain BC.

However, her suspicious actions do not seem relevant until the Second Stage, where it is revealed that she is actually the Commander of the Taraak Intelligence, whose real name is Tenmei Uragasumi, a male spy for Taraak who was submitted to a complete sex change, as well as simulates a woman voice through a small device on her necklace. However, the experiences she had with the crew and the bond she created with Magno kept her loyal to the Nirvana members. In the end, Magno Vivan forgives her and retains her position as sub-commander, on the provision that she stays as BC.
In the manga, BC is biologically a woman and a villain. She is referred by others as Buzam rather than BC.
